What happened?
Rina began with pneumonia and was hospitalized in the Credit Valley Hospital, generating an allergic reaction to almost all the antibiotics that she was given, for which she had to return and be hospitalized a week later.
After being examined by more than 10 doctors, none gave with what she had. Finally, on December 11, she underwent surgery to perform a lung biopsy, and from there, her condition worsens by the day.
She left the hospital with oxygen at home and treatment for tuberculosis, a very strong treatment that consisted of mixing 13 pills that completely decompensated her, so much that on December 24, she could not even sit down and they called 911.
Rina was taken to the Scarborough hospital where she spent 2 days in emergency and 1 week in intensive care. Then they moved her into a room where she has to be with oxygen. Fortunately, it was there where they discovered what she really had, obviously, the treatment they had given her for tuberculosis was not adequate and that also caused many other complications.
In addition to Sarcoidosis, she has Pneumonia. As a result of being in bed for so long, she developed blood clots that also went into her lungs, but fortunately, thank God, is already with the appropriate treatment based on steroid, and anticoagulants.
Although she is better, she is weak and still needs oxygen. The treatment causes other complications: swollen feet and hands, uncontrolled levels of sugar and potassium, tremor in the hands among many others.
Life has changed for Rina in the blink of an eye. She has 4 months without working and has no family here. Fortunately among us, there are many angels willing to help, and after 45 days in the hospital, our Nailet adopted her at home with a lot of humility to take care of her during her recovery, which is also quite slow and will be lengthy.
We all know the story of Nailet, she is definitely an angel! -Among many others in the community who have brought her food, personal hygiene products among other things.
All help is welcome. However, this campaign is to collect funds so that Rina can finish her treatment and recover with the favor of God and with the charity of all.
For more information on how you can help, in addition to money, please communicate with Rina directly (she talks slowly, because she still needs oxygen and gets tired), or with Nailet.
God bless you all and give you back in health and blessings for you and your family.
